Grace Boykin, an accomplished author and globetrotter, has lived a life rich with diverse experiences that have profoundly shaped her storytelling abilities. Born in Mobile, Alabama, Grace's journey began with an insatiable thirst for knowledge and adventure.
In 1974, she graduated from Flagler College with a double major in Social Science and Secondary Education. Her dedication to education and passion for teaching led her to the Florida Deaf & Blind School, where she taught, tutored, and received specialized training from 1970 to 1974.

In 1971, Grace embarked on a transformative journey through Europe, studying Art History with Spring Hill College in 12 countries over three months. This cultural immersion broadened her perspective and ignited her love for the arts.
Her educational journey continued with an Ecology Course at St. Petersburg Junior College, followed by a pursuit of a Master's degree in Reading at the University of Central Florida, although she was unable to complete it due to her work commitments. She also delved into the world of intelligence assessment, specializing in IQ testing at the Florida Institute of Technology.
Grace's teaching career took her across the East and West Coasts of Florida, where she shared her knowledge and passion with students of all ages. Notably, she taught Geography at Dunedin Junior High School, leaving a lasting impact on her 7th-grade students.
Her dedication to education extended to her roles as a substitute teacher in Melbourne, Florida, and as a teacher at Wade Christian Academy and Merritt Island Christian School, where she taught 5th and 6th grade.
Grace's commitment to her community is further exemplified by her involvement with the Daughters of the American Revolution, where she served as the State Regent from 1977 to 1978 and again from 1979 to 1982. Her contributions also earned her a National Page position in Washington, D.C., and a National Republican Convention Press Pass.
In Dade County, Florida, Grace actively participated in a non-partisan judge's campaign, displaying her dedication to fair and just governance. She also served as President of the National Society of Arts & Letters in 2015. And chaired the Career Awards Luncheon in Clearwater, Florida, for four years, where judges selected winners in literature, music, and various forms of art.
Beyond her educational and community work, Grace ventured into the enchanting world of Walt Disney World, serving as an Operations Hostess in Magic Kingdom Fantasy Land from 1974 to 1975 and later as a Receptionist at Walt Disney World Fort Wilderness Resort from June 1975 to 1976.
As a prolific author, Grace has penned several notable works, including the fiction book "The Southern Hunt," published in 2005. Additionally, she holds the copyright for the non-fiction autobiography "South of The Hill," chronicling the political years of U.S. Congressman Frank W. Boykin from the 1920s to the 1960s. Grace's publications include "A Turbulent Life? ? ?," a self-help autobiography, and "Deaf, Blind, and Tragedy," a gripping fiction book slated for release by the end of 2023.
Apart from her literary achievements, Grace is an avid traveler who has explored all 50 states of the United States, including Hawaii and Alaska, on the backroads. She also ventured overseas, visiting 16 European countries with Spring Hill College to study Art History and Governments. Her international travels further extended to China and Southern Japan, where she stayed in District Governors' homes as part of a Rotary International expedition—a true "Trip of a Lifetime!"
As a novelist and seasoned traveler, Grace is on a perpetual quest for captivating stories to bring to life on both paper and screen.
